Ho ho ho! I’ve made the great migration home once again for the holidays - I am an unashamed Christmas fanatic and have always taken great pride (and enjoyment) in gift-giving: shopping with an excuse is always up my alley. So, though I haven’t used this Substack nearly as much as I would’ve liked quite yet, I wanted to take the time to thank YOU, dear reader, for subscribing to this Substack and supporting my writing.
As I said, I haven’t quite found the writing rhythm I’m looking for yet - and (as I will fingers crossed outline in a ‘What I’m Looking Forward to in 2023’ post) once we reach the new year, that will ideally change! But until then, you’ve still stuck with me, and made the conscious decision to hit ‘subscribe’ and subject your inbox to the whims of my insomnia-fueled writing.
I can’t put into words how much anyone caring enough to want to repeatedly read my writing means to me, so I’ll just say a massive, heartfelt THANK YOU for subscribing and being a reader of my writer and supporting of my work in any capacity. Getting to expand my circle in the Chicago film scene has been one of the highlights of my year, but it’s the conversations I have with people who have read my writing - whether they’re loved ones or strangers - that really drive me to keep working on what I love.
So thank you thank you thank you for being here and continuing to support me - and I’ll see you in the New Year.
